Becoming a minimalist was one of the best decisions I have ever made for the sole reason that I am happier. I wake up every morning knowing my few possessions are not holding me back from living the life I want. In other words, I am happy and content living the minimalist life. If for no other reason, this is why you should start living more of a minimalist life. Continue reading →

I wake up every morning knowing my few possessions are not holding me back from living the life I want. In other words, I am happy and content living the minimalist life. If for no other reason, this is why you should start living more of a minimalist life.

Being happy is often our usual fall back for any and all actions. However, many times, claiming that this and that will make us happier actually is not true. Many of the things we buy and/or accumulate our time with end up being major regrets. I would much rather be exploring Nicaragua for two weeks on an excursion than having the Discovery Channel show me the things I am missing out on around the world. Taking action to be happy is important. Understanding what makes you happy is even more important. If clutter makes you happy than a clutter filled life you should live. But, I have this strong feeling that a minimalist life would open the doors to a much happier life than first imagined.Plus it can be done in just a month.

The following are 7 Way Being a Minimalist Makes You Happier…

Debt Reduction – Let’s be honest. Most people would be happier if they didn’t have debt. The fewer things you own and owe on, the likelier you are to have the burden of debt weighing you down.

Travel Opportunities – Using your hard earned money to plan and enjoy vacations can become a reality when you don’t owe for useless stuff.

Relax – You can relax and breathe knowing you do not have a cluttered life.

Family Time - being a minimalist allows you to focus on that which important.

Goals – Goals change when you have the freedom to do and be what you choose.

Healthier – Many of those that have turned to minimalism as a lifestyle have become healthy along the way. Leo is just one example.

Brighter Outlook – I have become a more positive person by focusing on what is important. Living a life of No Worries leads to happiness.
