One way to allow TMP to continue growing while maintaining it’s principles is to offer Simple Advertising. What is Simple Advertising? I would like to say I was the first to think of this, but I am copying this idea from Leo Babauta of Zen Habits who was offering one ad slot per month for $6,000. Don’t worry, it won’t be that much here. However, I think Leo has the right idea. Why not simplify the clutter of our sites if what we are preaching is simplicity.
The Minimalist Path now only sells one (1) ad each month to a single exclusive sponsor. This ad will be shown from the first of the month through the last day off the month in the right sidebar.
Despite TMP being a young site (September, 2009), it has quickly become one of the premier sites in the simplifying and minimalist niche. By becoming an advertiser with TMP, you will reach users without getting buried within tens of other advertisements on the site. Clarity and distinctness will allow your ad to be seen.

What Do You Get?
For $300, a 150×150 banner ad will be placed in the right sidebar of TMP all by its lonesome. That’s right, you will have exclusive positioning with no other ads.The ad will run from the 1st of the month through the last day of the month whatever that day is. Only exception will be for June 2010 in which the ad will be pro-rated based on the start day of the ad until the last day of June 2010. For the June 2010 ad slot, I will reimburse for pro-rated dates based after payment has been made and ad approved.
Can Anyone Advertise?
Advertisers will be screened. If I do not think the advertisement will be of much benefit to the TMP readers (talking to you spammers) and I choose not to allow the ad, then I reserve the right to refund the advertiser.
