Have you put off becoming a more organized, simple individual? Have you turned away the clutter-free life to acquire stuff? Have you been telling yourself, “Today is the day I am going to become a simpler person,” for the last few weeks, months, or even years? Well, facing the reality that change is needed is important, but not acting makes any thought process of changing useless.
Facing reality is tough for a lot of people. I love to face reality and doing so has allowed me to become a better person and live the lifestyle I have wanted to live, not the life others want me to live. The harsh reality is just that…harsh. However, by not facing reality, you are just living a life you are not meant to live. The sooner you take this into consideration, the sooner you will be on a path towards your desired life.
While facing reality is the first step, following through is just as important. Telling yourself what you want and how you want to change is only productive when you make an effort to improve your situation. I have come across many people who have wanted less debt, less undesirable responsibilities, and more freedom. Living a minimalist life allows just that, but usually these people that wanted to principles of minimalism weren’t willing to sacrifice the social benchmarks that they felt were needed. Acting will lead to positive reinforcement for your life changes.
By acting and taking control of the realities you have faced, the lifestyle changes are possibly. Following the path of minimalism is a reality I faced and acted upon. I feel that anyone (that’s you) can implement the minimalism practices towards a desired lifestyle modification.
